Let's take a quick breather together.
I've got some simple tips that might help make your day easier.
Want to unwind for a moment?
Hello parents! 👋
This is Lucy.
My child doesn’t like drinking water.
And for the longest time, that worried me more than I expected.
The result? Occasional constipation and a runny nose whenever the seasons changed.
I tried all sorts of things. Some failed, some stuck. Today, I’m sharing a few tricks that actually worked in our home.
These aren’t about forcing anything. Just small ways to help your child feel more comfortable with water.
🥤1. Make water the star of the show
We picked one special cup just for water.
“This is your water-only cup,” I said one morning.
That simple sentence did the trick. Suddenly, my child felt like they had a mission. To drink like a grown-up with their very own cup.
🌞2. Start the day with a sip (together)
The easiest time to hydrate? Right after waking up.
So I started leaving a small cup on the nightstand.
Each morning, we “cheers” and take a sip together. At first, it was just pretend. But now my child reaches for the cup on their own.
It’s become a part of our morning rhythm and it makes a real difference.
🎨3. DIY water bottles with a twist
This one was surprisingly fun.
We started decorating water bottles with stickers and giving them silly names
“Brave Juice”
“Magic Water”
“Superpower Sips”
When kids feel ownership over their water, it suddenly becomes the drink they want to carry everywhere.

🍉4. Don’t forget watery snacks
Not all hydration has to come from a glass.
Sliced cucumbers, watermelon cubes, even crunchy pears. We keep them visible and easy to grab.
Sometimes, hydration hides in the shape of a snack. And that’s okay.
Building a healthy habit takes time.
My child still isn’t a water lover, but they’re learning. Slowly, steadily, with a little fun and a lot of love.
How about you? Have you found something that works in your home?
I’d love to hear your story.
Until next time
With heart
